G.P. Fire Extinguisher & Safety is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Outside Fire Extinguisher Service Technician. This role focuses primarily on on-site inspection, maintenance, and servicing of fire extinguishers and safety equipment, with some light sales and customer service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire extinguishers and related safety equipment
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations
- Deliver and install safety supplies at customer locations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate safety products (light sales)
- Travel to nearby communities during work hours as required
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sales or experience with safety products (PPE, extinguishers, etc.) is an asset; training will be provided
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis
