Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Autobody Technician to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and collision work. This role involves repairing, refinishing, and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and attention to detail. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Prior experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using various tools and techniques
- Perform frame straightening, dent removal, and panel replacement
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct automotive repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding and surface preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within designated timeframes
- Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience as an Autobody Technician or similar role with dealership background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems is an asset
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
