Overview
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining space.
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food handling and preparation.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as needed.
- Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude and efficient workflow.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in serving or cashiering roles is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for all necessary systems and procedures. Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
