Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Server with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in food and wine knowledge, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and thrives under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to guests from greeting through to payment
- Demonstrate strong menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary considerations
- Confidently recommend and pair wines, cocktails, and menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Manage multiple tables efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Maintain clear and professional communication with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accuracy and timing of orders
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in the dining area
- Process payments accurately and handle cash/point-of-sale transactions responsibly
- Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of serving experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service (formal training or certifications considered an asset)
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Assets:
- Wine certification (WSET, sommelier training, or equivalent)
- Experience with POS systems
- Fine dining or upscale casual service background
