The Chemist Level I serves a critical technical role in advancing this mission by ensuring that 10FOLD’s lab activities are carried out with excellence, ultimately propelling performance and sustainability in multiple industries through highly effective and safe laboratory operations. This role requires a foundational understanding of chemical reactions, chemical interactions, and reaction mechanisms to support testing, product development, troubleshooting, and safe handling of chemical systems.
Key Responsibilities
In alignment with company’s mission, vision, values, and policies, this position is responsible for the following:
Lab Testing
- Conduct lab tests including setting up apparatus, storing and preparing samples, running tests, calibrating devices and cleaning apparatus
- Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests per standard methods
- Apply knowledge of chemical reactions and chemical interactions to accurately design, execute, monitor, and interpret laboratory tests and analytical procedures.
- Effectively capture and communicate results according to the scope and timeline of the project.
Data Analysis
- Execute data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain quality data.
- Analyze data effectively to turn information into action.
Experimenting
- Assist in developing SOPs and experimental procedures for new projects and products.
- Follow specific directions on experiments to generate objective results.
- Ensure processes are executed safely and efficiently, where there is uncertainty, initiate an assessment on the safety or efficacy on the procedures.
Lab Maintenance
- Maintain high-standard lab safety and tidiness.
- Replenish chemical solutions as needed.
- Conduct Production Scale calibrations.
Project Assistance
- Perform duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist in organizational objectives.
Key Performance Metrics
- Accuracy and completeness of laboratory test
- On‑time completion of scheduled lab tests and assigned
- Quality and reliability of data entry, records, and documentation
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Effective communication of test results within required timelines
- Lab cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of a safe working environment
- Proper calibration & maintenance completion of lab equipment, production‑scale instruments
- Responsiveness and adaptability to changing priorities and project needs
- Contribution to development or improvement of SOPs and experimental procedures
- Demonstrated teamwork, positive attitude, and alignment with company values
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in chemistry
- Strong understanding of chemical reactions and chemical interactions, including the ability to predict, interpret, and evaluate their impact on laboratory testing, product performance, safety, and process outcomes.
- Strong written/verbal English skills
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Positive attitude in fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Previous lab experience is an asset
- Understand and comply with company Safety Practices including Laboratory Safety and Chemical Handling
Alignment with 10FOLD values.
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
