Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roller Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically rollers, to ensure the proper compaction of materials in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties
- Operate roller equipment to compact soil, asphalt, or concrete in preparation for paving or construction.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the roller and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites, including the preparation of materials for concrete forming.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment during operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with roller machinery.
- Familiarity with loader operation and commercial driving is preferred.
- Experience in concrete finishing and paving is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is advantageous.
