Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee financial record-keeping and administrative functions within our company. This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial data, managing office operations, and supporting overall business efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Sage 50, or ERP.
- Process payroll accurately and timely.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
- Perform account reconciliation to verify data integrity across various accounts.
- Oversee office management responsibilities including administrative support, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Support audit preparations by maintaining organized financial documentation.
- Answering and directing phone calls in a professional manner.
- Managing and organizing office correspondence, including emails and physical mail.
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Maintaining office supplies inventory and placing orders as necessary.
- Preparing and generating shipping documents, including labels, invoices, and packing slips.
- Coordinating the shipment and receipt of packages.
- Handling client inquiries and providing customer service support.
- Ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient office environment.
- Assisting with onboarding and training of new staff.
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50 or ERP.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliation and account analysis accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
- Basic budgeting skills for financial planning support.
- Prior experience in office management.
- CB or CPB certification would be considered an asset.

Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
