Job Description: Part Time Customer Service Specialist
Airdrie Paint and Blinds is an independently owned high end Paint and Design store. Our team is dedicated to ensuring all our customers receive excellent customer service and expert advice no matter what their home project is. We sell all the Benjamin Moore Paint and Stain collections, along with a vast selection of other paint supplies, wallpapers, and custom blinds.
We are currently looking for an outgoing, personable and self-motivated Customer Service Specialist to work part time in our store. The right candidate will be able to assist all our walk-in retail customers and contractors with any of their paint and supply needs as well as give knowledgeable advice no matter what the project. They will be able to multi-task and work efficiently as well as be able to lift, carry and move paint and supplies on a day to day basis.
Job Requirements:
- Represent Airdrie Paint and Blinds professionally with enthusiasm and a friendly attitude
- Interact with and assist all customers in a positive, mature and upbeat manner
- Assist customers with colour selections with confidence
- Tint paint, take orders and process sales consistently and accurately
- Able to see undertones and read colours carefully – complete custom colour matches daily
- Ensure an inviting environment for customers by maintaining a clean, safe store through merchandising, tidying and dusting as required along with replacing and facing stock on a constant basis
- Assist customers with loading their purchases into their vehicle as needed
- Support management with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- Lift paint cans and five-gallon pales constantly and unload skids of paint daily
- Previous experience in the paint industry an asset
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have a passion for people and a mature, positive outlook
- Exhibit excellent sales and service behavior in all interactions and communications with customers, associates and management
- Colour knowledge is not mandatory but is an asset
- Previous paint experience is not mandatory but is an asset
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills along with proficient computer skills mandatory
- Demonstrate the ability in completing a job with accuracy, proficiency and effectiveness
- Be willing to work flexible hours between Monday-Friday 7:00-6:00, Saturdays 9:00-5:00,Sundays 10:00-4:00.
- This position will require that you are available most weekends
