We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Barista/Server to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in the front house operations of our cafe/restaurant business. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and be motivated to ensure excellent customer service.
Barista/Server will be responsible for maintaining consistency and increasing profitability through experience. Functions of this job includes cash handling with the POS system, customer service, daily routine cleanliness & maintenance of equipment; tea & other drink preparation and various other duties required in the cafe/restaurant.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry and enjoys working with people. Prior Barista/Server experience will be an asset; 18+ and Pro-Serve certification is a must.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Make and serve specialty coffee, tea & beverages for customers
· Present all beverages and food products consistently and with an attention to detail
· Only serve drinks that meet or exceed the cafe quality standards for drink presentation and latte art
· Operate POS system, including taking orders and safely handle cash
· Maintain quality control for all beverages
· Maintain a clean and sanitized all workstation
· Follow Food, Health and Workplace Safety standard & guidelines
· Be able to observe regular and consistent attendance
· Ability to work variable hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and/or Statutory holidays
· Ability to work standing with occasional lifting to 25kg and carry items as required
· Execute daily tasks to the cafe guidelines and quality with integrity
· Drive the process to hit the company target deemed from the management team
· Frequently taste coffee to ensure quality of the dial and to continue developing a coffee palate
Experience and Qualifications:
· Must love coffee!!!
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Experience in retail or hospitality or equivalent experience, cafe experience is an asset
· Passion for exceptional customer service and working collaboratively
· Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and learn quickly
· Willing to learn and adapt to changes as new procedures and policies are implemented
· Handling Latte Art will be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
