When Gear Equipment started operations in Ontario in June 2014, Gear had only two Vac Trucks and a dream. By 2015 Gear Equipment had 6 trucks in our fleet and grew again in 2016 to 16 units, and we continue to expand. Our Dry Suction and Wet / Dry Hybrid capabilities bring time and cost-saving innovation to our customers.
We are looking for Vac Truck Operators who will be responsible for operating units to perform excavation activities associated with pipeline, construction, and utility work.

Summary:
The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum trucks and services for Gear Equipment’s clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate Hydro-Vac or Vacuum trucks
- Maintain accurate reports including job site reports and driver inspection reports
- Provide a safe, reliable, and professional service to Gear’s clients
- Inspection of vehicle daily prior and after to starting any new jobs, report any concerns to supervisor
- Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures
- Complete tasks associated with excavation, trenching, and shoring
- General clean-up and maintenance of units
- Perform physically demanding tasks
Requirements:
- Must be able to operate manual transmission
- This position is a Unionized role. If selected, the candidate will be required to sign up with the Union.
- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license
- Clean drivers abstract
