Job Type
This is a full-time role consisting of 40 hours per week when in the office. When in the field, the successful candidate will be expected to work outside of standard working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. There is an existing vacancy for this position.
Employment Term
This is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain and troubleshoot airborne geophysical equipment.
· Operate airborne geophysical equipment in-flight.
· Daily flying in a helicopter for several hours.
· Service and repair field equipment in the warehouse when not on a field assignment.
Qualifications
· College diploma or equivalent.
· Practical hands-on experience in operating/maintaining/troubleshooting electronic equipment.
· Ability to travel for extended periods (6 - 8 weeks at a time).
· Ability to fly in a helicopter for 6 - 8 hours daily.
· Previous experience in airborne geophysics is an asset.
· Job requires ability to work with tools and materials.
· Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
· Strong problem-solving techniques.
· A valid motor vehicle license (G class).
· A valid passport with no travel restrictions.
Compensation
This position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually. While the full range is posted for transparency, our target hiring rate for this role is typically at the midpoint of the range. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's skills, education and relevant experience as they relate to the role.
