Job Summary
Haven Spa & Social Club is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Nail Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate must be professionally trained and confident delivering flawless regular polish and gel applications, with strong experience in structured nail services, including BioGel and Gel-X. We are looking for someone who takes pride in precision, consistency, sanitation, and creating an exceptional guest experience.
Additional training and experience in esthetics is a strong asset, particularly the ability to perform facials and waxing services.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality manicures and pedicures, including regular polish and gel applications
- Perform structured nail services, including BioGel overlays, fills, extensions, and Gel-X
- Complete polish and gel applications with exceptional precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Perform nail art and customized enhancements based on guest preferences and skill level
- Complete services efficiently and within the scheduled appointment time without compromising quality
- Conduct thorough consultations and provide personalized service recommendations
- Educate guests on nail health, maintenance, and appropriate aftercare
- Recommend relevant services and retail products in a natural, guest-focused manner
- Encourage rebooking and help build lasting relationships with guests
- Follow all sanitation, disinfection, infection-prevention, and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared workstation
- Accurately document service details and guest preferences
- Support spa cleanliness, opening and closing duties, inventory management, and other shared team responsibilities
- Uphold Haven’s standards of professionalism, hospitality, and guest care
- Perform facials and waxing services when appropriately trained and qualified
Requirements
- Professional training or certification in nail technology from a recognized program
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Nail Technician, preferably in a spa or salon environment
- Strong technical experience with regular polish, gel polish, BioGel, and Gel-X
- A portfolio demonstrating clean application, structured nails, shaping, and nail art
- Excellent knowledge of nail preparation, removal, sanitation, and infection-prevention practices
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high-quality results
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills
- Ability to work efficiently, manage appointment timing, and remain composed in a busy environment
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to receive feedback and participate in ongoing education and skills development
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays
- Training or certification in esthetics, facials, and body waxing is a strong asset
- Successful completion of a practical skills assessment will be required as part of the interview process
