Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy machinery and a strong mechanical knowledge base is an asset. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on various job sites.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, Rock Trucks and Skid Steers.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute project tasks effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues as they arise during operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is required.
- Experience with Caterpillar machinery is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver’s license, H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance and Common Safety Orientation is required.
