Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and perform vehicle maintenance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance as needed
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs and receipts
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management and freight handling when required
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for all roles
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
- Prior experience in freight delivery or logistics is advantageous
- Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance can be beneficial for vehicle upkeep
- Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate delivery processing
