Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our growing practice and provide comprehensive dental care with a strong emphasis on patient examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical excellence while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
As a locally owned clinic, we are committed to building long-term relationships with both our patients and team members. Our practice is conveniently located in Southeast Edmonton, within walking distance of multiple amenities and grocery stores, offering easy access for both staff and patients.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our dental team to provide restorative, preventive, and comprehensive dental services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop, present, and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform restorative, preventive, and general dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and other treatments as required.
- Administer local anesthesia and interpret diagnostic radiographs, CBCT scans, and iTero digital scans.
- Manage a moderate to high patient volume while maintaining exceptional quality of care and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, clinical notes, and treatment documentation.
- Review patient histories and clinical documentation to support continuity of care.
- Adhere to all infection prevention and control protocols, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-centered clinic culture.
- Embrace modern technology and pursue continuous clinical excellence and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Multiple years of clinical experience are considered an asset.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is an asset.
- Ability to manage productive clinical schedules efficiently and effectively.
