Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Superintendent to lead our projects from start to finish. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations on-site, coordinate teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and site supervision will drive project success and uphold our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Oversee all aspects of construction site activities, including quality control, safety protocols per OSHA standards, and adherence to blueprints and schematics
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and implement effective budgeting strategies to maximize resources
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately to guide onsite work
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations by conducting regular site inspections and enforcing safety protocols
- Coordinate procurement of materials
Experience
- Journeyman in Welding/Millwright and 10 years of experience and related training
- Must be able to read construction blueprints .
- Leadership experience and working as a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certified First aider (Level C minimum) an asset
- Up to date safety training and equipment certificates
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
