Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic support, particularly to neurodiverse children and adolescents. This role involves working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality mental health care on an interdisciplinary team.
Duties

Conduct comprehensive screenings of patients to determine their mental health needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.

Provide psychotherapy sessions to children, adolescents, and families in a supportive environment.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists to coordinate care.

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care for patients.

Stay informed about best practices in special education as it relates to mental health support.
Experience
-
MSW, RSW, or RP designation.

Practice from a client-centred approach
-
Member in good standing of one of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

Experience with Animal Assisted Therapy or interest to train in Animal Assisted Therapy an asset

Preference for experience with neuro-diversity and pediatrics and/or families
-
Must be comfortable communicating in one of the official languages (English and/or French)

Able to provide in person sessions.

Minimum 5 years experience.

Previous experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.

Strong background in patient care practices and case management strategies.

Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to psychological assessments and treatments is an asset.

Client centred approach to care.

Experience working with first responders or veterans is an asset.

Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.

We are looking to hire a full time / part time / casual employee who can dedicate 2-35 hours per week.
