Job Summary
TCSN is seeking caring, dedicated, and motivated Instructor Therapists to support children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
This position involves centre-based one-on-one and small group instruction within a supportive and structured environment. Candidates must be available for morning shifts on Thursdays and Fridays, in addition to evening shifts (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA/IBI programs (communication, social skills, play, academics, and life skills)
- Support behaviour reduction strategies and teach appropriate replacement behaviours
- Collect, record, and graph data daily
- Assist with student assessments and preparation of program materials
- Maintain accurate clinical binders and documentation
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support student progress
Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Child & Youth Work)
- Minimum 2 years of experience implementing ABA/IBI programs with children and youth with ASD or other neurodiverse needs
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and Verbal Behaviour approaches
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and program material organization
- CPI or similar behaviour management training is an asset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Assets (Preferred but not required):
- RBT Certification
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
