Job Summary
Cornerstones Special Needs Services is currently hiring experienced and resilient Respite Support Workers to support youth and adults with complex behavioural needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one to one or small group support in respite settings - home, community or facility
- Maintain standards of confidentiality and privacy.
- Support individuals with high complex behavioural and emotional needs.
- Implement behaviour support and safety plans consistently.
- Document care provided and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance mental and emotional well-being.
- Strong background in behavioural management and de-esculation.
- Knowledge of best practices.
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely.
- maintain clear and timely documentation.
- De-escalate challenging situations using approved techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to prepare meals safely and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Reliable, client-focused, and adaptable to different care needs

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
