Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with construction project at its various stages.
- Assist carpenters in aspects including but not limited to framing, concrete and exterior work.
- Operate power and hand tools.
- Material handling i.e., re-locate, load and unload construction materials on site where needed.
- Acting as spotter for mobile equipment and directing the flow of vehicle and equipment traffic on the job site.
- Contribute to and actively participate in site housekeeping.
- Adhere to health and safety best practices, safe job procedures / safe work practices, company policy and site rules.
- Assist with safety related tasks if assigned.
Qualifications:
· Construction based schooling in any trade considered an asset.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive and team player.
- Safety oriented.
- Fall –Protection certification considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn.
