Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pizza Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and providing excellent food service. This role involves preparing delicious pizzas, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm for the food industry.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or during takeout/delivery orders
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe dining environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety procedures
- Strong understanding of food handling standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn new skills related to pizza making and food industry standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment as needed
