Overview
Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add an experienced full-time permanent Parts Person to our Edmonton, AB team.
Our Parts People take care of our customers and keep the business on-track in a variety of important ways, ensuring the right things are in the right place at the right time. Parts People that have been successful for us in the past have a high attention to detail, care deeply about doing things the right way, and have a drive to solve problems for the customer, and for the business. For this role, we need someone that has solid experience in the parts world from our industry, or an adjacent one, such as aerospace, aviation, passenger vehicles, heavy industry, oilfield support, recreational vehicles, manufacturing, agriculture etc. The successful candidate will have five or more years of progressive experience in parts roles throughout their career.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide prompt and courteous service for walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Return telephone calls as soon as possible and keep customers informed of progress
- Interpret parts manuals and technical updates
- Contact suppliers, when required, to clarify pricing and delivery information to complete a sale
- Provide accurate all-inclusive quotes to customers including delivery
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running.
- Five or more years of experience in parts administration would be an asset but not a deal breaker.
- Firetruck / Emergency experience is a STONG asset.
- Valid Class-5 driver's license is mandatory, licensure above Class 5 is considered an asset. Driver’s Abstract will be a required condition of employment
- Strong computer skills including Office 365 and Excel, in particular, are required
- Knowledge of the truck or heavy equipment industry would be beneficial
- Past experience in the truck equipment industry considered a very valuable asset
- Commitment to providing outstanding internal/external customer service
- Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
