Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in supervising and managing kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety protocols
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of food quality and service
- Manage food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and safety compliance
- Assist in food preparation for other menu items as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Serve customers directly when required, providing excellent hospitality and service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising or team management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent understanding of the food industry standards, especially within a restaurant environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience with proficiency in pizza-making techniques is highly desirable
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior restaurant management experience is a plus
Pay: $16.10-$16.20 per hour
