Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a passion for the food industry. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS and process transactions efficiently with cash handling skills
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest experience
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with health regulations
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and positive reviews
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Experience in food handling, serving, and hospitality preferred
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
