Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently moving, locating, stacking, and organizing products within the warehouse using various types of forklifts. This role is essential in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas
- Manage warehouse inventory through accurate order picking and placement of products
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials within the warehouse
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Assist in organizing warehouse space for optimal storage efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support order fulfillment processes by accurately selecting items according to order specifications
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance checks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and order processing
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and maneuvering in confined spaces
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
This position requires a valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one upon hire. Candidates should be reliable, safety-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
