Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Finish Grade Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering precise, high-quality grading work and is able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform fine grading and production grading to required elevations and tolerances
- Prepare, shape, and fine grade granular base to proper elevations and slope for asphalt paving
- Operate skid steer / track loader to grade, spread, and level material
- Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and laser levels
- Ensure proper base preparation, compaction, and drainage slopes
- Load, move, and distribute aggregates as required
- Assist with site preparation including stripping, rough grading, and final grading
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with foreman, and other crew members to ensure grade accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Help with other general labour or equipment tasks when required
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with fine grading, production grading, and asphalt prep
- Skid steer / track loader experience required
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain grade accuracy
- Grader experience is considered an asset
- AZ or AR-Z license is an asset
- Must possess a valid Class G driver’s license and maintain reliable personal transportation
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Compensation:
- Pay rate will be based on experience and ability
