About the Role:
Are you a safety-conscious, highly skilled, and experienced mechanic looking for an exciting and challenging job opportunity? As we continue to grow and expand, we need experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs safely on commercial vehicles and equipment, including inspections, oil changes, and brake services.
- Safely troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Communicate with dispatch and other team members regarding maintenance schedules and vehicle availability.
- Observant and committed to following all Super Save Group's established safety policies and procedures.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment to keep it running smoothly.
- Interpret work orders and manuals with precision.
- Compose detailed service reports.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturers’ specifications and legislative regulations.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of 3rd year to Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification.
- Class 3 or 5 Drivers License with clean abstract. (Class 3 Drivers License considered an asset)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (Drug & Alcohol).
- Experience using Cummins INSITE is an added advantage or similar diagnostic tools are desired.
- Welding experience will be considered an asset.
- Physically fit and able to safely lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be a team player and have safe working habits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- Experience in the Disposal Industry is an asset.
