Green Thumb Supply Co. is seeking a lead mechanic responsible for the maintenance and repair of various makes and models of small equipment.
The position will include the following duties:
- Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers
- Diagnose source and extent of problems with various types of small equipment
- Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs, air filters, etc.
- Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts
- Adjust components according to specifications
- Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts
- Clean, reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs
- Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
- Read schematics in order to look up and order parts
- Keep a safe, organized, and tidy work space
Desired Experience
- Completion of a recognized Mechanic Certification or 2+ years experience and/or STIHL certification
- Kawasaki, Briggs and Stratton, and Husqvarna certification
- Extensive experience working with small engines
- Positive attitude with a willingness to lead young mechanics and set a good example
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
- Good communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Experience and familiarity with Husqvarna chainsaws and their components is considered a major asset.
