We're a locally owned and community-focused pharmacy in Nanaimo, dedicated to providing personalized healthcare. At Central Drugs, we go the extra mile for our patients and customers, and we're looking for a like-minded individual to join our team as a Home Health Care Assistant.
About the Role:
As a Home Health Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers find the right home health solutions to meet their needs. This involves providing expert advice, demonstrating products, and ensuring a comfortable and supportive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service, exceeding customer expectations.
- Conduct sales and demonstrations of durable medical equipment.
- Perform personal fittings for surgical appliances and compression stockings.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of home health care products and rentals.
- Identify sensitive customer needs and provide discreet and compassionate service.
- Support company initiatives, programs, and standards.
- Order, receive, and merchandise products within the Home Health Care Department.
- Manage pricing and inventory.
- Process 3rd party billing.
- Adhere to and implement company standards.
- Perform administrative duties as required.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
- 1+ years of home health care experience (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to relate to customers at all levels and understand their needs
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Desire to learn and grow within the role
- Basic computer skills
- Fluency in English (required)
