We are seeking a dynamic Echo Technologist to support our patients, physicians, and healthcare team by providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging. You will play a vital role in guiding patients through their care, educating them about the ultrasound process, and ensuring their comfort throughout. Additionally, you’ll assist physicians with your technical expertise and imaging skills, helping to ensure accurate and efficient diagnoses. Working alongside our team of radiologists, sonographers, and support staff, you’ll contribute to a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
This position is very active, mobile, and fast-paced, requiring good organization, planning, and time management skills in order to keep clinic flow and physicians on time.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Greet patient, explain forthcoming tests, position patient and generally prepare him/her for the examination.
- Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.
- Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Take all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
- Confirm procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
- Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
- Prepare and organize reports as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- 0-5 years of related experience.
- Candidates must be ARDMS or CARDUP certified (Registration with ACMDTT is required).
- Current CPR certificate.
- Ability to perform various Echocardiogram machines (primarily Philips iE33, GE Vivid s6, GE Vivid E9).
- The ability to perform Stress and Contrast Echocardiograms is an asset.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
