Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, along with the ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes. Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or cranes
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards
- Operate warehouse equipment including order pickers and heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems such as AS400
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and handling
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed
- Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Support order fulfillment activities by accurately selecting and packaging products
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related fields such as manufacturing or construction
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) like AS400 is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment required
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience in warehouse experience or logistics is highly desirable
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
