Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various projects including restoration, renovation, flooring installation, and new construction. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Experience with heavy equipment operation, hand and power tools, rebar installation, and welding is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve smooth, level finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and moving materials or preparing site areas.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Perform masonry work, including caulking, restoration, and renovation tasks as needed.
- Assist with concrete forming, curing, sealing, and finishing processes to meet project specifications.
- Use carpentry skills for framing or modifying forms and structures related to concrete work.
- Coordinate with team members on site for efficient workflow and safety compliance.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finishes meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles is required.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, welding techniques, flooring installation, and masonry is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking materials, and heavy lifting techniques is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution.
- Prior experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, restoration projects, or renovation work is advantageous.
- Construction experience involving heavy equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites is necessary for successful performance in this role.
