Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Service Apprentice to join our dealership's Service Department in Brampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is pursuing a career as an Automotive Service Technician and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced dealership environment. Under the guidance of licensed technicians and shop forepersons, the Service Apprentice will assist with vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while developing technical skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Automotive Service Technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Perform routine services including oil changes, tire rotations, tire installations, battery replacements, and fluid checks.
- Complete vehicle inspections following dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Learn and assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly use and maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Document work performed accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all dealership policies, manufacturer procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Participate in manufacturer and apprenticeship training programs.
- Support the service team in delivering high-quality customer service by ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (310S) or actively pursuing apprenticeship registration.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a dealership or automotive repair facility.
- Previous automotive experience through school, co-op, or employment is required.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in a shop environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional development.
- Familiarity with manufacturer service procedures and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced automotive service department.

- Availability to work evenings or Saturdays as required.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
