Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the executive chef, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. Duties
- Assist the head chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation processes
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed according to health regulations
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes with precision and consistency
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage of ingredients
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet established standards
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety practices, and service standards
- Support restaurant management in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen environment
- Serve as a leader during service hours, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional customer experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Golf Course experience is an Asset.
- Supervising experience with team management skills is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management and food industry standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with staff and serve customers effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality excellence and attention to detail
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is essential for success in this role
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
