Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning and high-quality service.
- Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of sales using the POS system.
- Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support the hiring process by conducting interviews and training new employees.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving restaurant performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
