Plainsman Mfg. Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for our Night Shift role that is responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of CNC machines. Shift: Night Shift 4 days 10 hours Monday – Thursday (3:15pm-1:45am)
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safe and efficient set up practices, machine tooling usage, and adherence to program setup sheet procedures
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and blueprints
- Utilize machine operations knowledge including tool geometry offsets and their functions
- Understand insert sizes and naming conventions
- Troubleshoot and improve existing programs and processes
- Adherence to the Plainsman Mfg. quality standards, programming and control procedures
- Ability to program CNC Lathe using G-Code
- Ability to use power tools which include, saw, drill and grinder
- Ability to use hand tools which include, hammer, wrench and screwdriver
- Follow to our Health and Safety program to ensure we maintain a safe working environment
- Maintaining a clean and professional workspace which includes cleaning and deburring parts, Empty chip bins and disposing of waste appropriately
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to communicate, read and write in English
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with CNC machine operations
- Knowledge of imperial measurement system
- Basic computer knowledge with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word
Other Requirements
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to sites in Edmonton
- Class 5 driver's license

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
