We’re building a modern web platform and are looking for a Backend Developer who enjoys owning core systems and helping a product scale from early traction to growth. This role is hands-on, product-focused, and suited for someone who likes building practical solutions that real users depend on.
You’ll work on the backend foundations—APIs, data models, and infrastructure—using proven technologies while keeping things simple, fast, and scalable.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Design and implement RESTful APIs
- Work with PostgreSQL to model and optimize application data
- Help scale backend systems as usage grows
- Contribute to deployment and infrastructure on AWS
- Improve performance, reliability, and security across the platform
- Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams
What We’re Looking For
- Experience building backend systems with Python and Django
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational data modelling
- Familiarity with deploying and running applications on AWS
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Ownership mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance speed with long-term maintainability
