JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for daily HR activities across the organization. This role helps ensure HR processes run smoothly, accurately, and professionally while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
In this role, the Human Resources Coordinator contributes to a positive workplace culture by supporting employees and leaders, promoting consistent HR practices, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Onboarding
· Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, resume and candidate prescreening, interview scheduling, interview facilitation, reference checks, and candidate communication
· Prepare onboarding packages and facilitate new hire orientation
· Ensure all pre-employment and onboarding documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
· Maintain recruitment trackers, hiring documentation, and employee files
HR Administration
· Maintain, update, and audit employee files, records, and databases to ensure compliance, organization, and accuracy
· Assist with payroll administration and employee status changes
· Prepare employee letters, disciplinary records, forms, and other HR-related documentation
· Maintain confidentiality of employees and company information at all times
Employee Support
· Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, procedures, and general HR processes
· Assist with employee communication and engagement initiatives
· Coordinate employee training, certifications, and developmental opportunities
Compliance and Policies
· Assist with implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs
· Support compliance with company policies and applicable municipal, provincial, and federal legislation including Alberta Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
Continuous Improvement
· Actively participate in self-improvement activities, exercises, and training
· Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, organization, and administrative efficiency
· Champion other continuous improvement activities and foster a continuous improvement mindset in the organization
GENERAL
· Know and enforce company safety rules, policies, and relevant occupational health and safety legislation
· Work in a professional and ethical manner
· Provide support for other departments as necessary
· Develop effective working relationships with Team Members, Lead Hands and Supervisors, always treating others with respect

WORKING HOURS AND CONDITIONS
· Permanent full-time office
· Office core hours are from 8 AM to 4:30PM, Minimum 40 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Communication
· Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Human Resources Information Systems
Organization Skills
· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
