We are seeking a Journeyperson Carpenter in Fort McMurray, Alberta to join our growing team and provide high-quality carpentry, maintenance, renovation, and repair services. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service on every project.
The successful candidate must be courteous, punctual, accountable for the quality of their work, and adaptable. We are looking for someone with strong carpentry and maintenance skills who is committed to completing projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Complete general carpentry maintenance and repair work
- Perform interior and exterior painting projects
- Complete minor and major drywall repairs and installations
- Install flooring and complete refurbishment projects
- Conduct client consultations and discuss repair and renovation solutions
- Explain repair requirements and recommendations clearly to clients
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
- Follow all company safety policies and safe work practices
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned projects
- Adhere to daily and weekly schedules and project timelines
- Work outdoors and at heights when required
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate (required)
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry and maintenance experience (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of residential and commercial building codes
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Pay: $44.00-$46.00 per hour
