Job Summary
Digital Terrain Solutions (DTS) is searching for a high-energy, relationship-focused Sales Representative to help expand our footprint across Canada and the United States. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction technology and comfortable engaging with contractors, excavation companies, surveyors, and equipment dealers.
This role is central to driving growth for our product portfolio—including GPS Base & Rover systems, 3D Excavator Machine Control, Dozer/Grader Automation, RTK Network Solutions, and Landscape Technology. You will help educate the industry, convert interest into sales, and build long-term relationships that reinforce DTS as a trusted digital-construction partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strong client relationships within construction, earthworks, surveying, landscaping, and equipment-dealer channels.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through territory outreach, trade shows, demonstrations, networking, and market intelligence.
- Deliver compelling product presentations and live equipment demos, showcasing the value of DTS machine control, GNSS solutions, and software tools.
- Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with DTS marketing on lead generation, brand awareness campaigns, podcasts, social content, and trade show strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of pipelines, client interactions, demos, and follow-up activities.
- Provide world-class customer support, ensuring clients receive onboarding assistance, after-sale communication, and fast issue resolution.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, etc.), and evolving needs in civil construction and geospatial technology.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or construction-tech/equipment sales is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team across a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and driven to exceed targets.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms or digital sales tools is an asset.
- Understanding of construction workflows, surveying technology, GNSS, or machine control is a major advantage (training provided).
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, sales, geomatics, or marketing is considered an asset.
