A Parts Department Assistant manages inventory, processes orders, and assists our team in the day to day operations. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing exceptional service to our customers
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and supplies
- Process parts orders and ensure timely delivery to customers
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the parts department
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and invoices
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and provide reports to management
- Operate a forklift and other equipment to move parts and supplies
- Assist the Fleet Manager by checking trailers and ensuring all lights, brakes, and safeties are working and current
- Deliver parts to site-in and out of the city if needed
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and parts room
- Pick parts for jobs based on Tech schedule
- Have knowledge of parts and job locations·
- Make springs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the parts manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures
- Knowledge of automotive parts and components preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- · Prior experience in parts inventory, warehousing, or automotive parts departments is preferred; familiarity with parts catalogs and inventory management software is advantageous. ·
- Basic computer and clerical skills. ·
- Ability to lift and move parts, work at elevated levels, and perform tasks in various weather conditions if deliveries are required. ·
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with management, coworkers, vendors, and customers.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
