Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team.
This is a field-based position providing full-time mechanical support to customers throughout Central and Northern Alberta. The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling and working on the road to provide customers with the coverage they need to keep their equipment operating and their jobs moving forward.
We are a full-service Cummins dealer, and previous Cummins training or experience will be recognized.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the field.
- Travel throughout Central and Northern Alberta to provide on-site mechanical support to customers.
- Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently to help minimize customer downtime.
- Complete required service documentation and warranty paperwork.
- Provide professional and reliable service while working directly with customers.
- Travel to the United States for required training.
Qualifications
- Journeyman certification required.
- Trade Certificate required.
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Central and Northern Alberta.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Whitecourt, Alberta before starting work.
- Cummins training or experience is considered an asset.
Work Location
This position is based out of Whitecourt, Alberta, with regular field work and travel throughout Central and Northern Alberta.
