We have a dynamic team of support staff who are highly motivated to provide exceptional support to our lawyers and clients. We are currently recruiting for a full time Legal Assistant in our Edmonton office.
Position Overview:
Our Legal Assistant/Floater is responsible for providing legal administrative and clerical support to our lawyers in our specialty practice areas.
Job Responsibilities:
· Managing correspondence, booking appointments, and diarizing deadlines according to client and procedural deadlines
· Billings, opening and closing of files, and other practice management tasks
· Transcribing digital dictations
· Performing conflict searches in addition to other searches depending on the area of law
· Preparing, drafting and revising legal documents and letters independently with minimal direction
· Assisting with trial preparation, questionings and briefs as required

Key Qualifications and Education:
· Post-secondary diploma or certificate in accredited legal assistant or paralegal program and/or successful career history in the role of a legal assistant
· Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a legal assistant role
· Experience working in various areas of law would be preferred
