Job Title: General Labour Fabrication
Reports To: Shop Foreman
Job Summary:
Responsible for the assembly of a variety of metal bins and other metal components. Required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery to make their necessary cut, bends to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. Assist in the organization of the shop and yard.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment
-Check and weigh materials and products
-Assist machine operators, welders, saw operators, material handler and other workers
-Fabricate and assemble metal bin according to relevant production procedures and work instructions
-Operate the plasma cutter and press brake and all other related machines
- Install fabricated components into the final product(s)
- Conduct quality (QC) inspection of product according to related procedures
-Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal or other material components using hand tools and power tools
-Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials across the facility
-Prepare materials for manufacturing processes by sorting, stacking, or organizing inventory
-Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
-Conduct basic inspections of finished products or parts to meet quality standards
-Follow detailed instructions and safety protocols during all stages of production
-Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred
-Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is an advantage but not mandatory (training available)
-Mechanical knowledge or experience working with hand tools and power tools is highly desirable
-Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
-Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
-Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or assembly work is a plus
-Highly repetitive tasks
-Ability to do physical labour and other active physical tasks
-Able to lift 50lbs. on a regular basis
Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour
