Wedlock Paper Converters Ltd. is a Mississauga-based manufacturer specializing in flexible packaging and paper converting. We produce high-quality printed and converted packaging solutions for food and consumer goods sectors.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
This isn’t a desk job with occasional floor walks. You’ll own your shift. Every day looks a little different, but you can count on:
- Leading and motivating a team of ~75 production personnel — setting the tone for safety, quality, and morale
- Running shift meetings: covering production targets, safety, scheduling, and what needs fixing before the next crew rolls in
- Keeping production schedules on track and jumping on deviations with solutions, not just escalations
- Coordinating closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping to keep materials flowing and customers happy
- Assigning operators to equipment based on skillset, production needs, and the curveballs the day throws at you
- Driving continuous improvement — Kaizen mindset, root cause analysis, data-backed decisions
- Monitoring attendance, conducting performance discussions, and coaching team members with consistency and fairness
- Ensuring all documentation, press approvals, pre-start checklists and production records are complete and accurate
What You Bring to the Table
The must-haves:
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety Standards and GMP/food safety requirements
- Strong communication skills, you can run a shift meeting, give hard feedback, and write a clear incident report
- Time management that’s basically a superpower — your team runs on schedule because you do
- A collaborative spirit: you work with management and colleagues, not just around them
Bonus points (not required, but you’ll feel right at home):
- Flexographic printing experience — understanding what’s happening on press makes a real difference
- Kaizen or Lean Six Sigma knowledge — we love people who think in processes
- Familiarity with flexible packaging or converting operations
The Real Talk: What This Job Is Like
- You’ll work shifts (Days (Mon - Fri) 7AM - 3PM, Afternoons (Mon - Fri) 3PM - 11PM, Midnights (Sun-Thurs) 11PM-7AM)
