About the Role
Reporting to the Park Manager, the Groundskeeper is a key member of Maintenance Team and will contribute to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the Park. The Groundskeeper will perform general maintenance on the Park grounds and facilities including a variety of responsibilities related to mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, watering, garbage removal, pool support, and seasonal tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain green spaces, gardens, pathways, parking areas, playgrounds, courts, entrances, and pool areas
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, ride-on mower, golf cart, light-duty truck)
- Prune trees and shrubs; plant and maintain flowers, trees, and other vegetation
- Maintain irrigation, perform manual watering, and support seasonal yard projects
- Keep garbage, recycling, and dog-waste stations clean and stocked
- Assist with pool cleaning and seasonal openings
- Monitor for safety hazards and report concerns
- Perform general outdoor maintenance and other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Landscaping or groundskeeping experience an asset; training provided
- Experience with light mobile equipment; golf cart, mower and/or tractor experience an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures
- Physically able to perform manual outdoor work in all weather
- Eligible to work in Canada
- WHMIS, First Aid, or CPR certifications considered assets
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
