Overview
The Company is seeking a skilled and dependable General Construction Worker / Equipment Operator with a valid Class 3 or 5 license with Air Brakes to join its construction team. This role involves operating heavy machinery, assisting construction tasks, and ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and construction projects, he/she should possess adequate mechanical knowledge to support diverse project needs. Responsibilities
- Potentially working in BC, AB, SK, and MB.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including sweepers, hydro vacuum excavators, excavators, water trucks, and other machinery to support construction activities.
- Execute site preparation plan, and civil utility maintenance tasks in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the worksite by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Support team members in material handling, site setup, and other construction-related duties.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation and general construction practices.
Skills
- Valid Class 3 or 5 license with Air Brakes endorsement is required; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience in operating heavy machinery including sweepers, hydro vacuum excavators, excavators, and water trucks is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of construction equipment.
This role demands reliability, technical skill, and a commitment to safety while contributing to successful project completion across diverse construction sites.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
