Who we are: Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations, development properties and exploration activities across the Americas principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals.
- We are seeking Red Seal Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) for our Lalor Mine in Snow Lake, MB
- Please note this is not a “fly-in-fly-out” opportunity. We have a fully equipped camp available for those who wish to drive in and out to Snow Lake or relocation packages and housing assistance is available to move you and your family to the vibrant community of Snow Lake.
- Shift schedule is 7/7 (11.5hrs). Thursdays-Wednesdays
Responsibilities:
- Inspects job and determines nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. exercises judgment in the selection of materials and tools, and in methods so that job is performed in accordance with accepted safety standards.
- Initiates drawing changes, checks blueprints; consults with foremen regarding standards.
- Inspects job site; makes field calculations and recommends repair or replacement of tools or equipment.
- Recommend system and parts modifications, repair or replacement, changes in materials and improvements in methods to supervision.
- Repairs, overhauls, installs, dismantles, modifies, replaces, adjusts, tests, cleans, lubricates and maintains all types of plant equipment and tools.
- Mentors apprentices.
Prerequisites:
- Must be a Red Seal Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Experience in mining is preferred but not necessary
Compensation Package:
- $48.50/hr plus hourly production bonus and weekend premiums
