Due to growing student demand, Cadenza Music & Art Academy is expanding its guitar faculty and is seeking an experienced and passionate Guitar Instructor to join our team as an Independent Contractor.
Cadenza Music & Art Academy is a growing, performance-based music school in North Vancouver, dedicated to providing exceptional music education in a welcoming, inspiring, and professional environment. With beautiful teaching studios, a professional recital hall, and regular student performances, we strive to help every student develop both musical excellence and confidence.
We're looking for an enthusiastic educator who enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels—from young beginners to advanced musicians—and is committed to building long-term relationships with students and families.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging one-on-one guitar lessons to children, teens, and adults
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and examinations (RCM experience is an asset)
- Foster strong technical skills, musicianship, creativity, and confidence
- Create a positive, encouraging, and motivating learning environment
- Collaborate with the academy's concerts, workshops, recitals, and educational programs
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and academy staff
Qualifications
- Formal training in Guitar (degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience)
- Previous teaching experience with students of various ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and pedagogical skills
- Experience teaching acoustic, electric, classical, or contemporary guitar is an asset
- Passion for music education and student development
- Reliable, organized, punctual, and professional
- Consistent weekly teaching availability is required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
