Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Vancouver, BC (hybrid)
Salary: $90,000 to $95,000

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, process improvements, and supporting strategic initiatives across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Review month-end working papers and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD& A) and executive reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including monthly variance analysis and commentary on business performance.
- Support corporate tax compliance by preparing tax working papers and assisting with T2 filings.
- Coordinate and prepare year-end audit working papers and liaise with external auditors.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Assist with system enhancements, process automation initiatives, and future finance-related implementations.
- Support special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as required.
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or equivalent international accounting designation) is required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Industry experience within manufacturing, retail, and/or distribution environments is required.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close, and audit processes.
- Experience supporting tax compliance and external audits.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
